Trustfolio Ltd, the debt-tech™ collective behind the new Creditor Debt Solutions Platform now being adopted by Local Authorities and the well-established Debt Adviser Support Portal, backed by AdviceUK, has released episode 4 of its new podcast exploring how digitisation is changing the consumer debt sector.

The fourth episode, which has been released after the announcement that Trustfolio has been shortlisted as ‘Technology Team of the Year’ in the Credit & Collections Technology Awards, features our very own Trustfolio Founder and CEO, Lou Yates, as the expert guest. She started her first business in the consumer debt management space in the early 2000s and has since worked across the debt management and personal insolvency sector as a consultant, active campaigner, and founder of several innovative start-ups.

Podcast co-host Trustfolio’s Lee Usher, who has worked across the credit and debt advice landscape for both private sector companies and Government, says:
“It was great to grab some time in Lou’s busy schedule to take a step back from the day job and reflect on Trustfolio’s purpose, strategy, and development (and try to break down the tech jargon around blockchain!) But we didn’t just invite her on the podcast to sell ourselves. Our aim was to have a challenging discussion about the past, present, and future of the debt solutions market and debt advice sector which will add value to all our listeners. We’d love to hear people’s thoughts on some of the arguments Lou raises about how we can all make the sector fit for the future for the benefit of all stakeholders.”

Co-host Trustfolio’s Peter Wallwork, former Chief Executive of Credit Services Association (CSA), the UK trade body for the debt collection sector, adds:
“Lou shares with us how Trustfolio as we now know it has evolved from the drive to create solutions to ongoing problems in the personal insolvency and related solutions. As she explains, we’ve emerged as a collaborator and innovator with real social purpose, rather than just another commercially-driven fintech. The data we’re generating is all about transparency and independence, and that’s why the solutions we’ve developed create mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties.”

Each episode of the Trustfolio debt-tech podcast, which has previously featured Craig Simmons of Money & Pensions Service, James Jones of Experian, and Steve Coppard of Arum, gives professionals working in the credit, collections, advice, enforcement, and other related sectors, the opportunity to hear industry influencers discuss and debate the pros and cons of utilising the latest fintech to support consumers-in-debt.
