Trustfolio Ltd, the debt-tech™ collective behind the Creditor Debt Solutions Platform now being adopted by Local Authorities, Financial Services Creditors and the well-established Debt Adviser Support Portal, backed by AdviceUK, has released episode 13 of its Debt-Tech series of podcasts exploring how digitisation is changing the consumer debt sector.

The thirteenth episode, (lucky No. 13) features the CEO of the Credit Services Association, the only national trade body for the debt collection, debt sale and purchase industry in the UK. Chris took over the position of CEO at the CSA from Peter Wallwork in August 2020. Chris has had an impressive career in politics, having previously been an MP and Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer under Ed Miliband.

Podcast co-host Trustfolio’s Lee Usher, who has worked across the credit and debt advice landscape for both private sector companies and Government, says:
"Chris gave us, as you’d expect, a considered view of life from the debt collection industry’s point of view and represented his members really well throughout this interview - an industry that has historically come in for a lot of criticism in the past, but that now leads the way in finding affordable solutions for customers in debt."

Co-host Trustfolio’s Peter Wallwork, former Chief Executive of Credit Services Association (CSA), the UK trade body for the debt collection sector, adds:
"It was really great to interview my successor at the CSA and get an up to date view on issues we have both campaigned on. Chris was an excellent choice for CEO at the CSA and I was genuinely flattered that a former Shadow Chancellor took the role. He wins the prize for the most carefully delivered answers – those interviews over the years with Jeremy Paxman clearly a bit more of a grilling than mine!"

Each episode of the Trustfolio debt-tech podcast, which most recently featured Caroline Sumner, CEO of R3, gives professionals working in the credit, collections, advice, enforcement, and other related sectors, the opportunity to hear industry influencers discuss and debate the pros and cons of utilising the latest fintech to support consumers-in-debt.
