Trustfolio Ltd, the debt-tech™ collective behind the Creditor Debt Solutions Platform now being adopted by Local Authorities, Financial Services Creditors and the well-established Debt Adviser Support Portal, backed by AdviceUK, has released episode 12 of its Debt-Tech series of podcasts exploring how digitisation is changing the consumer debt sector.

The twelfth episode, features the CEO of R3, The Association of Business Recovery Professionals as the expert guest. Caroline Sumner’s career in the insolvency industry includes key roles at the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) and more recently R3, where she is currently Chief Executive.

Podcast co-host Trustfolio’s Lee Usher, who has worked across the credit and debt advice landscape for both private sector companies and Government, says:
"Caroline represented her members really well throughout this interview and threw some really good light on an industry that has come in for a lot of criticism in past years. Creditors and debt advisers should engage with this part of the industry and hear what’s really going on rather than what in reality, is little more than poorer behaviour of a few players."

Co-host Trustfolio’s Peter Wallwor, former Chief Executive of Credit Services Association (CSA), the UK trade body for the debt collection sector, adds:
"Lee and I saw a really different and very positive side to the industry Caroline represents when we attended an R3 Member Forum a few weeks ago in Huddersfield and were very pleasantly reassured by what the key speakers said. I think Caroline is a guest we’ll be asking back as there was so much to talk about, we just couldn’t fit it all into a single podcast."

Each episode of the Trustfolio debt-tech podcast, which most recently featured Nicky Dibben, CEO of Invention Marketing, gives professionals working in the credit, collections, advice, enforcement, and other related sectors, the opportunity to hear industry influencers discuss and debate the pros and cons of utilising the latest fintech to support consumers-in-debt.
