Trustfolio Attends and Sponsors MALG Conference 2024 in Leeds
8 November 2024
Trustfolio Ltd attended and sponsored the Money Advice Liaison Group (MALG) Conference 2024, held in November at Aspire in Leeds, continuing its active involvement in one of the UK’s most established forums focused on improving outcomes for individuals in debt.
MALG plays a central role in bringing together organisations from across the debt landscape, including creditors, debt advisers, insolvency practitioners and policymakers. The annual conference provides a valuable platform for discussion, collaboration and the sharing of best practice across the sector.
As an active member and supporter of MALG, Trustfolio values the opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders who share a common objective: improving communication, transparency and effectiveness in the way organisations support people experiencing financial difficulty.
Throughout the conference, Trustfolio engaged with local authorities, financial services organisations and debt advice providers, contributing to discussions around the challenges associated with information sharing and coordination between different parts of the sector.
A recurring theme of the event was the need to improve communication between creditors and advisers, particularly in relation to the administration of debt solutions. These challenges, often driven by fragmented processes and reliance on manual communication methods, can impact both operational efficiency and the experience of individuals seeking support.
Trustfolio’s work is focused on addressing these issues through technology that enables more structured, transparent and efficient communication between organisations. By providing a centralised platform for managing debt solution processes, Trustfolio aims to support more consistent and joined-up approaches across the sector.
Commenting on the conference, Lou Yates, Founder and CEO of Trustfolio, said:
“MALG continues to provide an important forum for bringing together organisations from across the debt ecosystem. The conversations at this year’s conference highlighted just how important effective communication and collaboration are in delivering the right outcomes for people in financial difficulty. It’s encouraging to see a shared recognition across the sector that there is an opportunity to improve how we work together, and we are pleased to be contributing to that through the development of practical, technology-led solutions.”
The MALG Conference remains a key event in the sector calendar, attracting a wide range of organisations committed to improving standards, professionalism and outcomes across the UK debt landscape.
Trustfolio will continue to support MALG and work collaboratively with partners across the sector to help drive improvements in communication, governance and the administration of debt solutions.
