Rotherham Council Joins Trustfolio Creditor Debt Solutions Platform
17 February 2025
Trustfolio has announced that Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has joined its Creditor Debt Solutions Platform, further expanding the number of local authorities adopting the technology to support the management of debt solutions.
The platform, launched in 2022, was created by a group of specialists from across the credit, collections, debt advice and insolvency sectors. It was designed to address longstanding challenges in the administration of debt solutions by providing creditors with a secure digital system for managing cases and communicating with other organisations involved in supporting individuals experiencing financial difficulty.
Through the platform, creditor teams are able to access a unified view of their debt solution activity. This enables organisations to monitor cases more effectively, automate certain administrative tasks and maintain clear oversight of the status of debt solutions across their portfolios.
In addition to improving internal processes, the platform supports more efficient digital communication between creditors, Insolvency Practitioners and Debt Management Companies. By simplifying the exchange of information between organisations involved in the debt resolution process, the system helps reduce delays and improve the consistency of decision-making.
The platform incorporates distributed ledger technology to maintain secure and tamper-resistant records of activity. This provides participating organisations with an additional layer of assurance that key information relating to debt solutions is recorded accurately and can be audited where necessary.
Trustfolio’s Creditor Debt Solutions Platform is part of a wider suite of technology solutions developed to support organisations across the full debt lifecycle. From creditors and advisers to insolvency practitioners and policy bodies, the platform is designed to help strengthen governance, improve transparency and support more effective collaboration across the sector.
Lou Yates, Founder and CEO of Trustfolio, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Rotherham Council to the Creditor Debt Solutions Platform. The adoption of digital tools that improve collaboration and transparency across the debt advice ecosystem is an important step in helping organisations work together more effectively to support individuals dealing with financial difficulty.”
With Rotherham Council joining the platform, Trustfolio continues to expand its network of organisations committed to improving the administration of debt solutions through modern technology and collaborative working practices.
