Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council Adopts Trustfolio’s Creditor Debt Solutions Platform
11 November 2024
Trustfolio has announced that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has adopted its Creditor Debt Solutions Platform, becoming the latest local authority to implement the technology as part of efforts to modernise and strengthen the administration of debt solutions.
The Creditor Debt Solutions Platform, first launched in 2022, was developed by a collaboration of professionals from across the credit, collections, debt advice and insolvency sectors. Designed to support organisations operating in regulated environments, the platform enables creditors to manage debt solution activity through a secure, centralised digital system.
For creditor teams, the platform provides a consolidated view of debt solution portfolios, helping organisations monitor cases more effectively while reducing reliance on manual processes. By bringing together data and communication into a single environment, the system supports improved operational efficiency while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
The platform also facilitates secure digital engagement between creditors, Insolvency Practitioners and Debt Management Companies. By enabling more streamlined information sharing between organisations involved in supporting individuals with problem debt, the system helps reduce administrative delays and improve the overall coordination of debt solutions.
Security and auditability remain core elements of the platform’s design. Using distributed ledger technology to record key interactions and decisions, the system provides a robust and transparent record of activity, helping organisations maintain confidence in the integrity of their data.
The Creditor Debt Solutions Platform forms part of Trustfolio’s broader range of technology solutions designed to support organisations working throughout the debt ecosystem. These tools are used by creditors, debt advisers, insolvency practitioners and policy organisations to strengthen governance, improve information flows and ultimately help deliver better outcomes for people experiencing financial difficulty.
Commenting on the announcement, Lou Yates, Founder and CEO of Trustfolio, said:
“We are very pleased to be working with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council as they implement the Creditor Debt Solutions Platform. Local authorities play an important role in supporting residents facing financial challenges, and the adoption of modern digital tools can make a significant difference in improving both efficiency and transparency in the administration of debt solutions.”
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council joins a growing number of organisations across the UK that are using Trustfolio’s platform to strengthen the way creditor organisations engage with the wider debt advice and insolvency sector.
