Trustfolio Attends LACEF Conference 2024 at Anfield, Liverpool
15 July 2024
Trustfolio Ltd attended the Local Authority Civil Enforcement Forum (LACEF) Conference 2024, held on 10th and 11th July at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool, continuing its active engagement with local authorities and partners across the debt collection and enforcement landscape.
LACEF plays an important role in bringing together local authorities and industry professionals to promote best practice and raise standards in local authority debt collection. The annual conference provides a valuable forum for sharing insight, discussing common challenges and exploring new approaches to supporting individuals experiencing financial difficulty.
The 2024 event began with an evening reception for sponsors and delegates, providing an opportunity for informal networking ahead of the main conference. Held at the iconic Anfield Stadium, the event brought together representatives from local authorities, enforcement organisations and service providers from across the UK.
Trustfolio attended the conference to engage with both existing local authority clients and organisations interested in improving the way they manage debt solutions and insolvency processes. The event provided an opportunity to discuss the operational challenges faced by creditor teams, particularly in relation to the administration and voting of Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs).
A key focus of Trustfolio’s discussions at the conference was the opportunity to reduce reliance on manual processes and fragmented communication channels, which can make the handling of IVA proposals time-consuming and resource-intensive for local authority teams.
Trustfolio’s TrustLedger platform is designed to address these challenges by providing a structured, digital approach to managing IVA workflows. By enabling creditor teams to automate elements of the review and voting process, the platform helps organisations improve consistency, reduce administrative burden and maintain clear audit trails across their portfolios.
Throughout the conference, Trustfolio met with a wide range of local authorities to explore how technology can support more efficient and transparent processes, while ensuring that statutory obligations are met and governance standards are maintained.
Commenting on the event, Lou Yates, Founder and CEO of Trustfolio, said:
“LACEF provides an important opportunity to engage directly with local authorities and to better understand the operational challenges they are facing. Many of the conversations this year centred around the time and resource required to manage IVA processes and the difficulties associated with manual communication and fragmented workflows. We are focused on helping address these challenges by providing practical, technology-led solutions that simplify how creditor teams manage and vote on arrangements, while improving visibility and auditability.”
The conference also provided Trustfolio with the opportunity to strengthen relationships with existing clients and to introduce its platform to new organisations interested in modernising their approach to debt solution administration.
Trustfolio remains committed to working with local authorities and partners across the sector to improve communication, streamline processes and support better outcomes for both creditors and individuals experiencing financial difficulty.
